Chernobyl in Black and White

This project was not a professional one but a personal one. I chose to include it on this site as this was the last day I spent with my friend, the late journalist Christopher Allen, who was killed while working in South Sudan in 2017.
In January of the same year, while I was working on a project in Western Ukraine, Chris and I travelled to Chernobyl together.
Chris’ life was marked by bravery and a commitment to truth. He was compelled to tell the stories of those impacted by war and displacement.
